Default St. Louis players, question on new casino(s) being built.

I live in St. Louis, lately I have been hearing about new casinos being built around the city. However, I keep hearing different stories.

I know the Pinnacle casino is being built right now, but I have read 2 articles that place it at different locations. One say the landing and the other says Lemay. I have also been told that another Harrah's opening around here.

Can anyone give me the correct information, and any links could be great. I have looked around but can't find a straight anwser.

I could have sworn that the Lemay casino got voted down, but perhaps I was wrong. That would be sweet though. I live in Pevely so it would be much closer than going to Harrah's or Ameristar. What part of St. Louis are you from syncmaster?

I haven't heard word yet though as to whether these places will have poker rooms.

Any casino management that is not planning on setting aside space for a poker room, at this point in time, will quickly get tossed out on its ear by the board of directors.

Thanks for the link..

I'm right off of River des Peres, which is sweet because both casinos will be within 15 minutes of my house. It does suck driving 45 minutes to play at Harrah's, and 70s a bitch during rush hour.

Dealers and players at the President's Casino as well as Harrah's seemed sure there would be a poker room in the one downtown. Its close to finished so we will find out soon.

The whole thing was news to me. I'm really excited to hear about this Casino in Lemay. I did some quick Googling, the only current information I could find was a report in St. Louis Business Journal about the reported 4th Quarter Loss by Pinnacle, in part because of construction of their new casinos. Sounds like the Lemay Casino construction is at least going forward. I'm less excited by the fact there seems to be a handful of 2+2ers in the South St. Louis area. I am pretty pumped to see them open. I know that one is right downtown and is going to run the President out of business. The other one is in south county somewhere, I am not too sure where. Does anyone know the opening dates of the two? The one downtown should be open this year sometime, but I'm not too sure when. I would love to hear some serious details from people in the know. I am just pumped there is going to be some more B&M in Stl. I usually make the drive from columbia 3 times a week to play at harrahs.

Is it worth driving all the way to STL when you can drive 20 minutes to Isle of Capri? What makes it better? Lower rake? Table selection? I'm interested because I might start making the trip more often.

I'm in Arnold, so I pray there will be a room in south county.
