Great post OP.

Everything in moderation.

Don't play so many hands that you don't have time to study.

Don't study so much that it's just head knowledge and never becomes practical.

Get out so you don't get burned out from playing/studying.

dude i couldnt agree more with u. i have gotten so much better when i droppped back down to 4 tables and only played when i wanted to and could play my A game. it is remarkable how much it helps. but too many people here only see the short term effects of them and thus dont do it and r missing out on a lot

I have realized this same thing myself.
Some players can play 8 tables and are still bored.

I think any more than four and I start to lose reads and make worse decisions.

Maybe my hourly rate would be higher playing more tables but I want to develop and then move up.

I play two tables right now as I am trying to re work my entire game and get back to basics. However, my max at one has only been 4 tables also. After that I feel like I get zero reads on anyone as I do not have time to click in time to take notes and make bets or call them.

Great post.
Step one is something i wish i could work on but im at university so work and social life come first. I think, however that is good for my poker game.
I only had an hour to play today and won 5 buyins 4 tabling 50NL because i was fresh and eager to play (and i ran gooot)
