Default Pretend I\'m an idiot... hands per hour live no limit?

How many hands per hour live are dealt in no limit poker on your average Vegas strip casino. (sorry, long time limit on line player).

Lot of variance in this depending on dealer competence and player douchebaginess. I payed in a timed game last weekend, which is a little rare for me, so I counted hands. Anywhere between 20-35 hands per hour was the range, over about 10 hours. The 20/hr ladies didn't get many tips.

Thanks yall. My buddy is thinking about becoming a dealer and our other friend is saying dealers couldn't possibly pocket that much money. Any good guesses on before tax income for dealing full time or per hour at on the strip properties? I have no earthly idea about these numbers, but appreciate any help.

I would bet that fast, friendly dealers can make 40/hour.

EDIT: After they've worked a while and gotten the good shifts. Thats not a real average because they probably have to do tournies and they have shifts where they don't deal every down, etc. I'm simply saying that 20 bucks in tips in a down is probably fairly reasonable.
