As stated this is literally the 2nd hand of the tourney. I have never seen so many limpers like this, so:

I dunno, I probably just shove preflop to be honest. Watch and laugh at what calls you.
As played, I'd probably check the flop and re-evaluate depending on the action. |

Re: $5.50 / QQ 2nd hand 2 decisions
Don't check, just shove. Your hand is too good to be playing it so passively like that, and if you check it down it's kind of like playing it for set value, or at least hoping for a good board. You've got the best hand, shove, you'll probably get a caller or two, and if not, you pick up the dead money.
As sick as it is, you probably have to check the flop and re-evaluate, but with 2 callers, someone probably called with K10s or something retarded like that...I think that's why you have to shove with so many limpers. Def. not an ideal situation. |

I had a hand just like this. 7 limpers or so behind. I shoved with QQ and got called with T8o (just like Gus Hansen on WPT lolol). Easy double up.

A push is good
I raise to t200 if we don`t push check flop, and be prepared to fold when one of them bet/push |

Re: $5.50 / QQ 2nd hand 2 decisions
PF shove is not a terrible play. But why take that gamble on the 2nd hand?
Your raise of 330 was 3x the pot. Thats an over bet. Try a pot sized raise or slightly higher. 120-180. This will accomplish the same w/o committing so many chips. With the FLOP above [pot=440 with your raise of 110 and 2 callers] lead out with a bet around 200-250 [1/2pot bet] to see where your QQs are. If you are raised, FOLD. If you are called, check down to the river. This approach still lets you know where your QQs are and leaves you with over 1100 in chips w/o getting committed so early. |

Re: $5.50 / QQ 2nd hand 2 decisions
nah, it won't accomplish the same.
it would accomplish the same if it gets the same amount of callers, which is def not the case in a 5.5. with QQ I wanna see a flop headsup or maximum three way. I like shoving, it's no "gambling" cuz they don't limp anything that beats you like ever here. |

[/ QUOTE ] this post has like 3-4 paragraphs of bad advice, tough to do. First, shoving preflop with QQ is not a gamble, it is a value shove. You are much more likely to get called by a weaker hand than a better hand. And weaker hands will certainly call. Second, the pot is 150 when hero puts in the raise. So, his raise is not 3x pot. A pot size raiser here would be to 170, which will probably get even more callers than he got. So, the pot still will be bloated, but now you'll have less equity in the pot. Now, you advice leading out with QQ to see where you are. Common advice, but not good advice. with three to the flop it'll be much more difficult for a worse hand to call you and anyone that called with a K in their hand for 300+ here, isn't folding it. So, you are essentially turning you hand into a bluff. Also, being out of position, any plan you have should not include bet and if called check it down because you have two streets to get through hoping they don't take a stab at it after you've show two streets of weakness. |

Re: $5.50 / QQ 2nd hand 2 decisions
Shoving preflop is fine, as is the raise you made. Raising to less than about 300 is just allowing your opponents the proper implied odds to call with garbage and stack you when it hits. Pot control is totally out the window with that many potential callers so don't even worry about it.
On the flop, you're not as likely to be bluffed with three people in the pot as you would be if it were heads-up. You can check and see the action, probably folding to a bet, definitely folding to a bet and a call. I generally assume I'm check-folding less than top pair/no draw in a multiway pot. |
