Default $11 FTP so nearly HU, TT hand

I think this was a suspect decision from me here. We are so close to HU and I think I have a good chance with this guy when we get there. But this is a dumb fold right? BB has to go with any two virtually so do I get involved here?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t150/t300
3 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
Button: t8930
Hero: t3560
BB: t1010

Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Button raises to t1050, Hero folds, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: t750 returned to Button.

Results:
Final pot: t750

It looks like he is trying to isolate with a bit of weak hand like A7, KJ, 77. I doubt he has JJ+. I'd push. Shorty is not that short, you have a ton of FE, and if you are called you will be way ahead of villians range. The nice thing is if you bust you still get 3rd.

I push this every day of the week unless he's been a huge nit for no good reason.

I think it was an ok fold.
If you have no FE its clearly a bad Push, so it all depends on how much FE you have. Pretty read dependent, readless i fold

I push unless he's supertight like six says. The bet looks like a scared bet designed to isolate shorty. You are already ITM so it's time to play for 1st, imo. You do have FE and you are almost always ahead.

ya, edit: push (not call lol), if you play for HU, before you know it shortie doubles up and you're forced to find a better spot to get your chips in, might as well do it now while you have some FE

Yup I thought this the moment I clicked fold. I just imagined me pushing BB calling and button calling and me losing to one overcard, but obv this is bad results oriented thinking.

I won the tourney anyway muhahaha.
