WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
I set up ClickBank and ran Adwords ads on these sites.
Received 25,817 Adword impressions and 41 Clicks spending $36.74. No one purchased anything. WTF? |

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
First of all, 41 clicks isn't enough to tell whether or not the product can be profitable.
That said, if you're new at all of this the chances of you choosing a product that will sell, choosing the right keywords for said product, and having a convincing landing page are pretty slim. No one jumps in and makes money right away. It's clickbank, so I'd guess you're trying to sell an ebook? Is it an ebook that you'd buy yourself? Is it an ebook in a cutthroat niche, like internet marketing? |

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
How much commission would you receive from the product if one were purchased? Is it greater than or less than $36.74?
Also, are you pointing your AdWords campaign straight at ClickBank, or are you creating a squeeze page or presell of some sort? |

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
One purchase would give me a +/-50% proffit.
I own the domain names and forward them with my click bank info hidden. I know that part is working. I figured 1 in 20 would make a buy. 0 in 40 sucks! |

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
WOW you got 25,817 impressions for $37. If you have adsense on your site would the CTR from adword traffic be the same as the CTR from a search engine or other forms of traffic. I would think that people would be reluctant to click on a second add, but If not count me in.

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
I have had problems selling affiliate products. I have found adsense to be much more profitable, but I still play around with CJ. It seems like there is a lot of potential.

Re: WTF am I doing wrong with these sites?
First of all 41 in 25,817 is not good. Yor ad is not reaching the people that are viewing it, this will raise your CPC. So what you have to do is revamp your ad.
Also, check your campaign settings and decide if you want to have 'content network' selected. This means that your are getting views from randomly selected sites, probably that have nothing to do with yours (if its selected). Try multiple ads within the same campaign, to find one that yields a larger CTR. Make sure that you are targeting the right people (Location, Languages). Studies have also shown, that ads which lead the viewer directly to the purchase page ,or main info page are better that links to a general gateway page. Most people don't like to jump through hoops. I've had good success with google adwords. |
