Default Getting miny-raised on paired board with an OP...

First few orbits at table, nothing notable to this point. I am always lost in these spots. Mostly because I really have no accurate picture of his range here. Seems like 3betting is spewy b/c most players won't get it in with worse. Calling does not seem attractive as there are a ton of cards that make my life a living hell on the turn. Thoughts?

I'm shoving here for half a buyin. You already mentioned the arguments against calling. He won't believe you got a 7 anyway so he might call with worse.

shove, he has 50bb's.

Hes not folding 88 or 99, i have been called here by 44 - 66 also, if he has diamonds he will probably call too.

If you think hes bluffy then you can call and check/shove turn, just sucks when he has diamonds and checks behind getting 2 free cards.

I disagree - people will get it in with flush draws, 99/88, etc. all the time. If he were fully stacked, I'd just call and see what develops on the turn, but with him being shortstacked like that, I just put him in now.

Even if good players fold to you here, this avoids you losing money on subsequent streets.

Sometimes, you simply can't get paid off with worse - so take what you can and play the next hand.
