Default 200nl 6max - 99 BB Squeezed it up, 2 Callers, Play Along

I've not long sat down at the table. I only have 34 hands on CO so his stats are irrelevant.

Villain on Button is 24/18/3.1 over 98 hands. No recent history with either.

Ok to start with.
Q. Standard 3bet preflop or not?
then
Flop decision reasoning.

sure, preflop is fine.

now I bet/fold $60. reasoning: folding out overcards, finding out whether our hand is good.

Personally, I just call preflop - 99 is not a hand I'd like to play OOP in a 3-way 3-bet pot. If button doesn't come along, then a 3-bet is fine as the pot isn't as bloated and it's heads-up.

As played, a c-bet of $60/fold to a raise is probably the best option.

meh....after rereading HH I think this is a set almost always perhaps something like 68HH to after he gets a decent price to come along. I can't see how he wouldn't have 3bet AQ/AK HH on BTN to a CO raise. I think we can fold here.

well, you've put in half your stack on a 'good' flop and there are plenty of draws villan could have. i dont really like squeezing pf all that much but meh.

not a huge fan of PF. id much rather squeeze like 89s, A2s or JJ+ etc. hands that are either strong enough to get in comfortably on most flops, or hands that have little to no showdown value on their own unless you flop something big and can shove as a semibluff.

anyway check flop.
if you bet you should be calling, because if you dont.. well then your PF plan kinda sucked, and your flop really sucked.

i think ch/rai is even better than leading

I don't think a check raise folds out anything that bets out if I check.
