Default Higher Limits shut down at Hollywood Seminole / Hard Rock in FL

Not sure on details, I'm sure someone else will provide them soon enough. State came in and said they can't spread the games they were spreading.

Last I heard they're doing $1-2 NL still but their limit games are only at $2 straight right now.

I don't want to give false information but I do know they went in and shut the games down.

Wow, this is so terrible to hear, our few days of Vegas style Poker has been squashed?? Just being in Hard Rock Hollywood Tuesday night felt like I had transported to Las Vegas, it was a great feeling. The pathetic outlook that I had on Florida Poker for years was washed away in the 2 1/2 hour period I was at The Hard Rock. Now reality is going to set in again, I really am just living in south Florida, home of the pathetic poker limits, SIGH!!!

Verified for the same at Tampa HR. They made everyone get up and go cash in chips. All games were stopped. Looks like a product of the parimutuals probably complaining. There is hope though. The state has 60 days to reach an agreement with the natives for the class III...if not the Fed will be stepping in. Just have to wait it out.

Are just the limit games shut down?

Is there still 2/5 NL and 10/25 NL?

They are only offering 1/2nl with a strict $100 max buy in. The highest limit game is now 2/5.

They were pushing it. But The law did say min. buy in no more then $100 and didn't specify max.

I agree it may be back to anything goes quickly(Indian Casinos)if the deal regarding Class III, is worked out and includes Tables games and Poker which do fall under Class III in the Federal Indian Gaming Act. There is wording however regarding provided games are allowed elsewhere in the state, so the Fed's telling Florida to allow Class III slots which are allowed in Broward isn't a 100% guarentee for Full Vegas style gaming or the Indians spreading any Poker game they want.
