Two monitor ports. So either get a video card with 2 ports on it, or buy a second (cheap) card to add next to your first one. It's not hard.

Windows will do the rest.

A video card with two outputs, I would prefer two of the same screens with a dvi input, and a videocard with two dvi outputs instead of a vga and a dvi output ( you will notice that the screens are different otherwise)

Telling people they need a card with 2 outputs is criminal. It's SO much cheaper to get 2 cards, especially if they already own one. I see what you're saying about VGA vs DVI, but the only reason not to do 2 DVI cards is if your case is out of room.

Ill answer this one myself as I just got it working.

If you want to have to cards together, be sure to buy cards that use the same chip-set(?) i.e are the same type, like in my cards its NVIDIA. Dont install the drivers from cd, instead go to nvidia.com and download the latest drivers.
That should be it.

Glad that worked for you, emerton.

That's not the only way to do it though. I ran a tri-head setup at my old office w/ 3 mismatched cards. ATI, trident, and I forget what the AGP one was. Never had a problem.

It is possible some cards may not play nice with each other tho. NVidia is sweet w/ multi-monitor setups, too...they even have donk-n-click multimon driver setup for Suse
