Yes, Jman has obviously confirmed that it is legit. Or he's part of the conspiracy.

[ QUOTE ]
Several of the players on HSP do exchange big pieces of each other, which means they are playing 0 risk in pots against each other.

Maybe this is what he means by "fake," just mis-interpreted through another person? Either that or her "Babyfish" translator was a little off (the THIRD "baby" means he's only talking about a few players who have stakes in each other, not the second).

I really dont believe this, obviously because it is unconfirmed by any really reliable source, and that Scotty has not played on a single season either.

I think I remember that on Negreanu's blog mentioned that they are paid to play on the show (some really high hourly fee) And if you remember Phil Galfond did have a thread about his experience on the show, and I really do not think that he would have mentioned that he was playing short stacked day one to be able to play in the deep stack 500k buy in if it wasnt for real money.

She misunderstood. HSP is real (they get 3K/h I think) but PAD is fake as those are just freerolls for the players. The money (120k)is payed out to the winner but nobody puts up any money.

Well, if alot of the players do exchange pieces of eachother, which I'm sure does occur, and only a few of the people on the table aren't involved, it is to a degree fake, except for the hands between people that aren't in partnership.

Matusow / PH hand from first episode this year. Fake?

Where in the world did you get this information? Each player buys in for the same amount. Now whether it's their own money (staked), or %s of one another, is another thing, but NBC does not front the buy-ins.
