$2.2 Playing with ~15BB stack
Stack sizes around 15BB are difficult to play. It's a little
too deep to push, but there's no room for proper post-flop play. And when we got a decent but not great hand, how should we play? Like for example: Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Hero (t2590) SB (t5110) BB (t1365) UTG (t4040) MP (t1895) Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero ?

What about a standard raise of 3BB ?
If you are reraise, easy fold and you still have 12BB. If you are called, see the flop and play it accordingly.

3 BB is too big here. Will make for a bigger c-bet if you have to make it.
If you are going to raise make it t375 but as its a 2.20 you need a read that Blinds are tight pre or loose/passive. I would not reccomend raising into your standard 2.20 calling stations here.

Yes, that is the problem here. 2.5BB raise is getting called/pushed too often. And if called, we really can't afford to make a C-bet. So, should we just fold? But that seems kind of too tight. Aren't we blinding away if we only play premium hands? Does anyone ever consider limping from button against loose players in the blinds?

I think folding because you can't play postflop is teh suxxorz. Maybe a fake minraise (to 310 or something like that) would be the trick here? Even loose players will fold their junk and you have position. You don't have to cbet if you don't like the flop.

without reads I raise to 400 and call if BB shoves.
However, against the right opponents folding here isn't awful at all.

I muck here b/c I think I get played back at a lot of the time in the sngs I play at. Obviously depends on opponents. It's not that I can't play postflop, I just don't like bluffing off 1/2 my stack here w/ a 2.5x/3 BB raise and then 3-4 BB c-bet. If BB shoves you have to call, which you can't feel that good about either.

There's no obligation to bet if you miss. You get to choose. [ QUOTE ] If BB shoves you have to call, which you can't feel that good about either. [/ QUOTE ] There's no "have to" about it.
