Adjusting tightness as game becomes either looser or tighter.
In limit Hold'em, assuming you are playing pre-flop correctly (i.e., observing position and betting that precedes you, betting correctly and playing the correct hole cards for these variables preflop) what is the optimal percentage of flops to enter in comparison with the average for your opponents to assure you are playing all the positive expectation starting hands and none of the negative expectation hands? For example, if your opponents are entering the flop, on average, 30% of the time approximately what percentage should you be entering? Seems like it's safest and easiest to play slightly tighter, but it also seems as if doing so causes you to miss some positive expectation situations.

Re: Adjusting tightness as game becomes either looser or tighter.
Around 15% regardless of how loose your opponents are for full ring.
Some people will say 12 or 18 or so but it's going to be somewhere in that area. |
