D,

I'm willing to take function over fashion on them for certain occasions. Try them and find out.

ja,

you live in san diego, why do you have so many pairs of closed toed footware?

[/ QUOTE ]

Open Toe footwear is for girls. Seriously I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of sandals/flip flops/crocs/etc..

I lived on the beach near Pismo last year, if I was going to the beach I wore Nike's to the sand, and no shoes to the water.

Guys should just say no to thongs, footwear and otherwise imo.

i feel that saying 'open toe footwear is for girls' is wrong, but I can't help but agree with you. Guys wearing sandals annoys me for some reason, except I do wear a pair of cheap flip flops on the beach usually, because anything else on the beach sucks. My shoe collection consists of 3 pairs of AF1s, all whites with green soles, light beige/dark beige with navy blue, and the new white, dark blue swede, light blue ones, then i have all white low cut Nike Shox (the least bulky Shox, not sure what they're called). Also I have black/red Vince Carter Nike Shox but I don't wear them since my girlfriend despises them, and also a pair of cheap black dress shoes that I hardly wear

I owned 19 pairs of shoes. But since this picture was taken, I've gotten rid of some of the shoes I don't wear anymore.

My two regular every day shoes (Pumas in front, Diesel in back):

Some other, less popular casual shoes (old Ponys, some sort of black bowling-shoe-style hipster crap):

Standard black dress shoes & some sweet white GBX clubbing shoes:

Crappy old Adidas and some canvas beach shoes:

Sorry to rain on the parade, and I guess I'm starting to almost understand how/why guys have this many pairs of shoes, but I think Red has some good wisdom for us.

"Red: I mean, really, how often do you look at a man's shoes?"

I've found that my taste in shoes is usually quite different from that of the average person from the US. You guys seem to generally like way too big, clunky and sporty looking stuff. Just my humble opinion, of course.

Makes sense. I guess at least the OP is American.

la,
lol @ showing off those lebrons again . I love those and am thinking of getting a pair for myself.

[/ QUOTE ]

hanster - i am trying to work them into as many of my posts as possible. if you can think of a way for me to work them into my strat advice i would appreciate it.

[ QUOTE ]
BTW, what's that red slipper thing on the bottom left of the first picture?

[/ QUOTE ]

i think you're talking about these:

not sure if i like them or not. also, i wore them once the other day and got a blister. all of the nike stuff, including the lebrons, was essentially a gift, so i didn't exactly choose these and am unsure what kind of future they have in my wardrobe. i am a huge flip flops guy, so i hope i wind up liking them.

dude, nobody cares about this opinion in this thread.

And besides, that quote really means "how often does a man look at another mans shoes." Most people here who have lots of shoes are concerned about women looking at their shoes. Women do notice shoes. period.
