I don't like it. I would raise the flop and prepare to fold UI on the turn. Too many people pay-off like this.

god must be going mad - didn't see your 3-bet pre-flop. ignore above and fold the flop

I raise the flop.

If donked into I fold that turn. There's nothing you're beating.

Why no one else raise the flop?

**Grunch**

I'm will tell you right now that HU play is a very weak spot in my game as I haven't reached this point yet.

In this situation I play the opponent. If he is a maniac who has a tendency to do this then calling down seems like a reasonable play.

If he is a solid player I think you need to raise the flop and fold when he 3 bets. If he calls and bets the turn I think you fold here too. If he calls and then checks the turn Im not sure if its better to bet and play it from there or to check behind with the intention of calling a river bet. I would be curious myself as to what is the better option.

I think that your best action though regarless of playing style is to raise the flop to see where your at, and play accordingly from there.

Oh wow i just read everyone elses reply and I was way off.. I'm curious why you don't raise to see where you are at?

folding is too weak against his range which is huge, lot of people donk the flop with a high, any 9, any 7, any pp, flush draw, str8 draw, or as a pure bluff, getting 8 to 1 i cant really fold this flop.

If both calling and raising are -EV on the flop, then yes folding is indeed better. However, the pot is large enough compared to the possible range of hands we may be facing to make folding seem dubious.

If some of you routinely fold the flop in these situations, then I suspect you may be being bluffed out more often than to make up for the times you lay down correctly. The larger the pot, the lower the frequency that you can be wrong. In general, if you have no reads on the opponent, then it is probably better to just call the flop and reevaluate on later streets as a default play.

The turn is a different story. I have no problems with folding there.

No just fold the flop

This is probably ok against some passive opponents. Just thinking that he is getting 7.5:1 on his bet. If we fold 1/8 he will show an automatic profit. Let's say we 3-bet with AK-AQ, AA-99, maybe some other hands like AJs or somethong depending on reads. His bet = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
