Default mouse / firefox problem

center click on the wheel button randomly stopped working for me in firefox recently. the scroll aspect of the wheel still works. i remember configuring it, i think under the mouse tab in control panels, to get it working originally, but i haven't changed anything recently.

any ideas? it's an "A4 tech" crappy optical mouse, doesn't give me any other problems.

Did it only break in FF, or do you just not use middle-click anywhere else?

In the Mouse control panel, is the middle button still set to middle-click? Can you try plugging it into somebody else's machine, to see if the button (but not the scroll) died?
