How does aakkari get his roll?
How does this guy have any money in his bankroll? He is horrible at both cash and tourneys. I'm guessing he won like some world poker tour thing?

He's from a large emerging country which has experienced a prolonged period of strong economic growth, and which is currently underrepresented in the poker show-business. This means he's a highly marketable 'ambassador' for PokerStars.
Meaning that your granny would have a good shot at a sponsorship deal if she was Brazilian.

Does Pokerstars fund him though? I find it pretty unlikely he is a winning player. When I booked about 500 hands him at 5/10nl he was playing 33/13. Any disussion I've seen about him in MSNL is about how bad he is.

I heard he came from a poor family and worked his roll up from pennies into hundreds of thousands. But I don't know much about how he plays or how much pokerstars pays him. Were you the person at our 100 rebuy asking him the same question from OP?

Mostly built my roll from grinding going back to $10 sit and gos. It's hard to believe he built up his roll naturally (i.e. no huge tournament win).
