Default NL600, bluff in battle of blinds

Villian is a regular DooMeRFD. He seems decent; probably capable of making big laydowns or calls. At the time I thought a lot of his range might include JJ or diamonds which he could get away from. River put me in a tough decision because I had no showdown value at all.

I would just check river, since you're getting called SOOOOO often.

Tough hand........

I don't like the play in the blinds as his range is soooo wide open here.

His check on the river is fishy, so I can see your logic...

But I think you know where you stand and it's a coin flip as to wether he's got it or not and the pot odds dictate he call you with a much larger range.

You could very well be called with Ax too, just based on those pot odds....so I just check and get the hell out here.....but aggression is to be honored.

I like the turn, but I don't think he's folding river after calling turn.

I d like it more if we had more to shove on the river.

Maybe min raise turn and shove river?

he's only bet/folding air on the turn

he's bet/calling hands he wants a big pot with

he's check/calling hands he wants a small pot with

Grunching

Once he calls the turn raise, I'm done with the hand (unless you spike an 8).

How is his stealing % from the SB?
If high, a big reraise could ve ended this hand PF. I like to defend my blinds every now and then with hands like 77,88,99, flat calling leaves you pretty dead on the flop vs every overcard and no 8 on the flop...

Yeah I agree that I should have checked behind river. It was just so tempting considering I had no sd value. If the board was 7T7T it would be an easy check.
