Default Timex final table bustout hand 3 handed in stars $320

i was watching this for last hour or so. timex was playing very tight-aggressive up to this point. whats his thinking/rational here? him and villian do have some history. i forgot the details but a little earlier timex got all in verse villian as a 3 to 1 underdog only to river a naked flush and stay alive in the tournament.

meh, his ability to make big calls like this that are right more often than not is what seperates him from most of you.

All I can think right now is "aggressive call."

This is your standard spite call, and the fact he didn't get there by the river is absurd.

ok not the best call ever. I dunno pay structure but at thsi point it should be similar to a sit and go to some degree, which makes a call like this even worse. You need a pretty decent amount of equity to make this call correct in such a situation. Off the cuff I'd say he needs at least 55-57% equity to breakeven.

Given that we have just about 45% equity in our nearly best case scenario of being up against a flush draw with two overcards, this call just can't be right. Even against a flush card with one overcard, which would be a pretty big surprise here, we have only 55% equity. Of course a decent % of the time we will be completely smashed as well.
