Default June Low Content Thread

We actually got to play O/8 at Caesar's IN last night, Friday. $5-10 with a full kill and the game was great! Six players, minimum, to the flop in a kill pot and usually eight or nine if they could play for $5.

I won $141 in five hours and only left because I got so tired I was misreading the board.

If you saw a player you never seen before play 200/400 hu and get absolutely crushed (75% coolers, 25% tilt) the other day, you now know who it was.

Okay same game. Will Call (Not his actual name) is absolutely convinced he is a great poker player. He often has Fancy Play syndrome or does little things to induce a call or fold and constantly comments on other people's play. It is sometimes a free poker lesson with every hand. Will call and VMH are the only two players at the river. VMH raised preflop and bet the whole way. She bets the river, the board is xxx22, Will Call goes in the tank, she shows him two of her cards, AA and he calls. He shows AAxx and VMH shows her pocket dueces.

If you play at Caesar's IN, and are familar with Will Call, you know why this is incredibly funny.

For all of you MTT PLO8 lovers out there, don't miss Binion's attempt at trying to run a PLO8 live tourney on June 24th.

http://www.binions.com/gaming/poker_classic.html

This is something that is not usually spread, but since Rio is doing it, Binion's is following suit.

Default Worst preflop call I\'ve seen

Granted: microlimits. But I've played 40K hands at these limits and haven't seen this before (granted, maybe some others have called preflop with trips and just didn't make it to showdown):

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha/8, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($24.80)
BB ($11.65)
Hero ($22.30)
MP ($4.80)
CO ($20.45)
Button ($9.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $0.85, 2 folds, Button calls $0.85, 1 fold, BB calls $0.60.

Flop: ($2.65) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.55, Button calls $2.55, BB folds.

Turn: ($7.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $7.4, Button calls $6.25 (All-In).

River: ($21.40) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $21.40

Results in white below:
Hero has 2s 3h Ad 7s (Low: 7, 5, 3, 2, A | High: two pair, sevens and twos).
Button has 3c 5s 5d 5c (High: three of a kind, fives).
Outcome: Hero wins $11.27. Button wins $10.12.

Default A set is the nuts...

Heads up PL $25

I have $60, villain covers.
Villain raises OTB, I call with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I checkraise, multiple raises ensue and money goes in on flop.

Turn and River K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain mucks QQT7, and thank god for summer. I can start playing again.

Default Re: Worst preflop call I\'ve seen

I've seen something like this BBart...It was limit which I guess makes it OK (sarcasm)...A guy raised UTG, the villian called in MP with J999...The betting was eventually capped pre-flop...He flopped the case 9 and ended up winning the high half with a set...Made me want to barf that somebody could play that badly...And this was at the $8-16 game on Full Tilt and I saw the villian last nite sitting at $15-30 (6 max), I don't know how he is not dead broke by now...
