Default damn, shoulda checked

Villain has done some very stupid things preflop and one very passive play post (cc, cc, cc with decent PP on very friendly board). I have him at 62/25 after only 50 hands.

PokerStars 15/30 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: (5 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, SB calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero folds.

I'm feeling pretty dumb at this point.

Don't like the fold, his range is alot wider than flushes: pairs+flush draws, even stuff like Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Jx could be played like this. You don't know if you're drawing live, and if so which cards, but getting 8.5 to 1 I think we have enough.

If you're betting the turn I think you gotta 3 barrel, but I don't think it's worth it, especially if you're folding if raised.

don't see why you didn't check the turn. he isn't folding anything here and almost his entire range is ahead of you

which is why you shouldnt 3-bet the flop IMO. 3-betting the flop HU is a part of a semibluff where you bet the turn. HU the free card isnt worth much. IMO you spewed the flop if you dont want to bet the turn

Oh and whats up with posting 15/30 hands in SSSH. What do I know? I am not even beating 10/20 at party yet..!

lol, so true, hence the title of my post.

But say you were steaming or had AA on two other tables or something and ended up in my position having been 3-bet on the turn--would you call? If so, which river cards would you call?

I'm posting it here cuz you guys actually respond with intelligent comments. Sometimes I've had trouble getting the mh regulars to post anything other than 'you played this so bad' or whatever.
