There are actually women that think they should get presents/flowers for this?

Makes me feel kind of superior. Is that a character flaw?

I've never heard of this "holiday" before.

And I wish I had kept it that way.

Seriously though, I don't wanna sound too whipped, but thank god I read this thread. My wife is from Ohio and is a sound believe in Sweetest Day. She can never remember when it is celebrated but every F$^%%(^% year some friend of hers from back home reminds her sometime this week. Imagine my surprise when not only had I never heard of the holiday the first year we were going out, but an ex-girlfriend randomly called me on that day. Bad times. Either way THANKS OP!!!

ok, i too have never heard of this holiday- is this a back east thing? This has got to be the dumbest holiday ever! and the name sucks too. I can barely choke down valentin's day. and i'm all about love. but shilt! i'd much rather celebrate SBJ day b/c at least that could be funny. Then i think bacon rim day is for ME, sorry boys.

Don't blame Hallmark.

Blame Ohio.

I've never heard anyone complain about "holidays invented by the greeting card companies" before. What a novel gripe.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really? I've heard it before.
