wow i guess you're not getting what i've been alluding to so i guess i'll spell it out.
WHETHER YOU FLOAT OR RAISE DEPENDS ON HOW WIDE YOUR RANGE IS FOR BETTING THE TURN WITH ACTUAL HANDS. IF YOU WOULD ONLY BET THE TOP OF YOUR RANGE ON THE TURN, YOU PROBABLY SHOULD NOT FLOAT VERY OFTEN.

Curious why you wouldn't bet/call KJ against this villain on the turn? would you check back top pair, or are you saying you would bet/fold?

[/ QUOTE ] based on the fact that gopher is aggro but slows down with decent hands, and sometimes gets into spots where it really seems like he isn't value betting very thinly at all. in some places i guess he could just prefer check call, or other spots he whiffs a CR where it isn't a great spot for it, but in general it comes across as his range is more polarized in spots like this than it probably should be. what i';m saying is, he fires a lto of seconrd barrels, a lot of those second barrels are draws or air, and a lot of his TT type hands are looking to check call etc and and he's not pounding QQ for value. don't know if that is just to get value from floats or let someone else make a mistake, but that is my experience with him primarily through hands played by students and hands that we played 4 months ago.
