Default Limpers

Okay boys and girls.

I have found some $10/20 games where openlimping is rife. Therefore it is quite common for there to be two or more limpers to me preflop when I'm in CO or button. These guys are bad, of course.

I am not used to it and don't think I handle it as well as I could.

So, assuming two 45%VPIP limpers, and a BB who is likely to take the flop for one more bet, what kinds of hands are you limping with? Raising?

What do you do with 77?
87s?
QJs?
What's the smallest suited ace you'd raise?

I think I'm okay postflop although I get a little confused when an ace flops, I don't have one, and they all check to me.

I raise all of these and they are all pretty much right on the line. I start suited aces around A6 and call with the rest.

Raise em all. I'd probably raise any suited A2-A5, A9-AK. Maybe wrong but I hate suited aces with no straight draws

KQo raise for sure, QJo I limp. I also wouldnt raise 78s. KJo is close, I think raising might be a little better.

I'd call 87s and raise the others.

Raise A6s and limp A2s-A5s

Raise T9s and limp 98s

Raise 66 and limp 55-22.

Raise KQo prolly limp KJo. Def limp KTo.

Raise ATo, limp A2o-A9o.

Limp QJo, QTo, Q9o, J9o, T9o

I am curious to know why people would raise 87s..?

If we're garneteed the at least the three callers and position? Just so the players at the table who do have a clue wont know that a limp means small pair small conectors and a riase means big cards.

I'm not worried about them one bit. But i am worried about the anyone else a the table who has a clue. I'm an AP regular, I always have to make sure my head is covered from the 14 other 2+2ers at my table :-)

Heh, fair enough.

But do you think the deception value vs other good players is worth more than when someone 3 bets behind you or one of the fish LRR'es with KK+?

I understand your reasoning - tho I am not convinced
