$215 rivering low FH vs tightish regular bb leading into small pot
Villian is 16/10 through 6500 hands filtered 7-10 handed.
Do I need to raise/go broke here to a shove? He is in the BB and his range can obviously be anything, I was thinking 89 at the time and decided to make it 420. of course , if you now that villian play pockets with a limp , you must fold here . I often fold small set vs regular who limp and then reraise me ...

Villain is BB, so he didn't limp in.
OP, over that many hands, do you have any other reads for the villain? I think you could fold against a good regular. But if he's just ok or worse, I think you have to grit your teeth and call since you'll see a straight or bare K enough and there's a ton in the pot. Readless, I'd probably stick with the call. |

thats a lot of hands vs this guy. is villian any good? i really can't imagine you being ahead of anything if villian is good so go ahead and make the tough laydown. if villian stinks then call.

I like. He didn't show any strength the whole way. He easily could have a straight or trips. If he was good and had the boat I would think he would have bet the turn to start getting some value.

Flat it first time around, and fold to the 3bet.

Re: $215 rivering low FH vs tightish regular bb leading into small pot
If he is good, he should have you beat. Then again, if he's good, why is he checking all the way to the river with a hand that beats you? If he's donkish enough to check a potential monster all the way to the river, he's donkish enough to show up here with a straight or trips. The pot's big enough and there are enough hands that you are ahead of. I'm calling in game, but I'm not real happy about it.

Re: $215 rivering low FH vs tightish regular bb leading into small pot
The reason I called the river shove is because I found it easy to put him on 89. 16/10 is obviously not optimal stats early, but I would have tried to get some value on the turn if I had a king in his spot, and I guess thought he may have as well. In the 6500 hands with him I havent noted anything too wacky in the early levels, but I think my thoughts in game echoed 'FoldYourLife' here, I just wanted to see if it was a leak. I definitely thought of just flatting on the river but thought I could get value from 89 or all the non-FH kings
