Oh hell no! Why would you assume they were? Honestly, when I read your post I thought that maybe you thought that they were in a "new" relationship and that a cruise might be "tacky" as it implies "Hey, we're going on a trip together and staying in a tiny cabin so I get sex from you".

Seriously...as long as you're not going on Carnival, they are usually very upscale vacations. There's a difference between grandma's gold lame first time cruising lines and exquisitely decorated four and five star lines with award winning chefs and performers. Unless you've been on a nice one, implying that all cruises are tacky is a fallacy you should be embarrassed by.
