I have a HUGE hand... how did it get played?
Villian is a real maniac. plays 83% of hands while only raising 18%. will stack off with anyold thang. just stacked off with TP weak kicker v set. the flop is amazing for me. the turn is very good. the river i figger i MUST push for value since he'll call with a lot of stuff. even a busted draw i think. what do you guys think about the way this was played?

Re: I have a HUGE hand... how did it get played?
Raise it to atleast 0.4$ preflop. Flop is standard. I would prolly raise a bit more on the the turn and just call on the river. I don't see him going over the top with a hand you beat with a ten kicker.

With that read, this is standard.

Might consider folding PF in UTG vs. a SLAG. How many times are you going to hit the A or FD? And your T will be useless.
I also wouldn't be semi-slow playing the turn. You've got a ton of outs if he's got another paired card. On the river, he doesn't have the straight (T7) so if he beats you its with A9 or something. I probably make the call and bust out too. |

ATs is a raise all day UTG 5 handed. Bet more on the turn, makes the river easier to get it all-in and you want that vs. this guy. |

I just don't like leading off with this knowing that I'm going to eventually be AI IF (and that's a big if) an A hits on the flop. If he's playing Ax he could have paired the x and you're busted out. The FD possibilities help but how many times are you going to get a FD? And the T is useless if an A doesn't hit. I know with these guys the variance is huge but I like to swing it a bit in my favor and lessen the neg impacts by playing stuff like this later. Thoughts? |
