how much will a night like this cost? how much are you expecting to pay?

After you factor in dinner, drugs, booze, cover-charges, lap dances, sending my buddy up for a private dance in the VIP room, cabs, cigarettes, and other extras, probably about a grand a head is my guess.

The hotel segment of the evening probably won't last for more than an hour. It's just our meeting place. I don't really have a problem chipping in. It's a small fraction of the total cost. I guess I just don't understand why- if I were visiting a friend in another city, and I got a hotel room, and some of his buddies that we were going out with us that night happened to set foot in my room for a little bit before we hit the first bar, the thought of collecting cash from them to help pay for my hotel room would not even enter my mind.

Been a best man twice. I would pay for the room in that situation, however, the best man is only responsible for the grooms expenses. Not the other guests. Anything the group participates in they should all pony up and the best man covers his own share and the grooms.
