Re: 100nl- 2nd pair + FD in unraised pot

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] pretty weak but fold (2nd hand) [/ QUOTE ] u normally c/f here after you 3bet the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Our equity is gone, and you're basically praying he has the NFD since he called the 3 bet. I lead what range r u putting villian on and how would you play hand 1? |

Re: 100nl- 2nd pair + FD in unraised pot
[ QUOTE ]
3-betting the flop with the intention of c/f a blank on the turn is really bad. If you're 3-betting the flop you need to bet/call the turn. I still prefer just calling the flop raise b/c you still have sd value (enough to c/c turn and hope for the river to go check check UI). [/ QUOTE ] totally agree w/ this. |

fold is good here I think. You probably don't have IOs If you hit your J or flush.....

Re: 100nl- 2nd pair + FD in unraised pot
In hand 1, villain probably has a decent king he's not folding, KJ, 222, NFD. Maybe QT, but I with an unknown I'll consider this a very small part of his range (after he calls 3 bet). I'd just call his raise. In a raised pot, I'll 3 bet all in.

Re: 100nl- 2nd pair + FD in unraised pot
i think people are concentrating too much on the hand as played. i think the discussion should be more about whether or not to 3bet the flop and whether to lead the turn once we do. I think if we are c/f the turn after we 3bet the flop then there really isn't that much of a point in continuing with hand 1 either if ur putting villian on a range of Ax/KJ/22 which is what I'm assuming if you want to c/f hand 2.
