Re: Easy river decision?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Easy raise. He is using a WA/WB line (time to confirm he is behind) or he was calling down with 88 and got lucky or he is just making a desperation donk with AQ. Either way I raise/call and move on to the next hand. [/ QUOTE ] If that is the case you should call Because if he is really following a proper WA/WB line he will fold to a raise, but 3-bet when he sucked out. [/ QUOTE ] That is true but against an unknown I think many players (and this includes 2+2'ers) cannot make the fold. [/ QUOTE ] I myself am guilty of sometimes taking a WA/WB line vs an unknown and then being unable to fold to the river raise. What I've started doing is just showing down in the first couple of WA/WB situations (like flopping a bad Ace vs a CO raise) to get a better read on the player. Then maybey I'll try donking the river one time, but often end up paying off the raise because I find it so hard to trust unknowns. After that I'll finally be able to fold to the river raise |
