Ooh I hit it. Raise river or go for the overcall?
Very juicy game full of 50/4 types.
I open K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in HJ, CO and button coldcall, blinds come in. Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Checked to me, I bet, button and SB call. SB is perhaps the only competent player. Turn is A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB checks, I check, button bets, SB raises, bleh. I call, button calls. River is 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB bets. Raise it or go for the overcall? Guy. |

overcall when you might get 3-bet [/ QUOTE ] I am pretty confident I'll only get 3-bet if I'm losing. Confident enough that I ought to fold to it. I wouldn't actually fold to it in practice. What does that mean for my line? Guy. |

Re: Ooh I hit it. Raise river or go for the overcall?
wow this seems like a really easy raise to me. if you have the worst hand you sometimes lose an extra two bets (44 and JJ are very often just going to call your raise and you only lose one extra bet). when you have the best hand and button folds it's a push. when you have the best hand and they both have aces you win an extra TWO bets. button will pretty much never ever ever fold an ace and I think that hand is super likely. actually I think MOST of the time each of them has just an ace. i have no math to back that up.
