Default Hate shortstackers? Enjoy 50bb minimum-buyin games? Help Negreanu / PS

KidPoker: good news guys, I was able to get you guys a new table set up
KidPoker: 10k min buyin marked DEEP
$tinger 88: really?
KidPoker: yeah bro, I got juice lol
ktrieu: awesome
$tinger 88: i love you
$tinger 88: lol
ktrieu: can we get this done for 25/50 tables also?
MezmerizePLZ: wow
$tinger 88: ah i see it
$tinger 88: yeah havin some for 25/50 would be great
MezmerizePLZ: having it for 25/50
MezmerizePLZ: would be
MezmerizePLZ: amazing
p3achy_keen: why didnt we sit at that table?!
KidPoker: lets see how things go with the 100-200 first. If that is recieved positively than I'm sure it will trickle down
ktrieu: awesome

-----------------------

basically thanks to player suggestions Daniel was able to get these new games running very quickly.

if you value 50bb min buyin games online (or you just really hate shortstackers), e-mail support@pokerstars.com and bathe them in affection for their decision in the hopes that we can sway their team to let the 50bb "deepstack" games trickle down to all different stakes, in the hopes that one day in the future all online games at all stakes can work the same way.

Just think, everyone (including me) who has been bitching for MONTHS about this now has hope thanks to Daniel. Now is the time to act, e-mail Stars ASAP and encourage them to take Negreanu's suggestion and spread it for all stakes.

Thanks in advance,
Clayton

I really hope this happens, preferably just converting all the tables, and leaving the [censored] limits like .4/.8 and 1.5/3 for the shortstackers(basically the opposite of FT)

You understand that the caps on various games is meant to protect fish? When fish lose money too quickly, online poker collapses on itself.

To add the the OP:

the "deep" game on PS is 50min bb, 100max bb. completely diff from FullTilt (100min, 200max).

its basically re-wiriting the standard buyin construct for big-bet games. like normal, except forcing people to buyin for half the buyin. This is significantly different from the deep games at FullTilt, and has far more potential

As I said, it's capped at 100bb. its not forcing people to buy in for more than a standard buyin, it's just prohibiting them to buyin for 1/5 the buyin.

As many NL players will testify, shortstacking is ruining games. This (in this poster's opinion) is a greater need to address than worrying about fish having to buy in for 50bb as opposed to 20bb.

At 3/6+ or so, the vast majority of shortstackers are "pros," and not random fish trying to run 20bbs up.

I just IMed it to him but he's away. My guess is that this would change the fundamental strategy for shortstackers, but not completely eliminate them. In fact, as long as the standard buyin tables continue running, this might help pro shortstackers
