If she's the one who broke up with you, then you can do absolutely anything you want. Your post seems to indicate that you dated this girl a couple years ago. If that's the case, you can do anything you want.
However, if you're the one who broke up with her, and it was recently, then it's kind of a dick move to date this girl's roommate, and you should only do it if you really really like hera lot. If there are other options available, then the right thing to do is to pursue those other options, and spare your ex some grief.
