Re: when to let up with a set?
[ QUOTE ]
I raised preflop to get the tag bb out. It didn't work out but I usually try and isolate a limper with a small pp in the blinds. [/ QUOTE ] I usually don't do that because 1) your are out of position, 2) bb is getting 5:1 on his money, and 3) c-betting small pairs into 2 opponents sucks on alot of flops. try calling and c/r alot of flops. |

Re: when to let up with a set?
oh yeah I didn't think to comment on it in my first post, but pfr is bad, and donk bet on the flop really isn't necessary. pf 3-bettor is going to bet 100% of his range, and you want to c/r so you can trap the field for two when they make loose calls.
your play actually shuts out some crappy hands from peeling that you want to put in money when you are way ahead. and like miles I often wouldn't cap the flop because I would want to c/r the turn. but my previous comments still apply to the big streets (3-bet on the turn looks fine and b/c the river also looks good). |
