Default Fun w/ A4s

I've been absent from the forum for awhile, so I've got a few hands stored up, here's the first.

Bellagio 30-60. The Grim Sweater (aka Andy Fox) is on board for this hand. CO is quasi TAG quasi LAG, both preflop and postflop. SB is passive on every street but not too loose by that much.

Preflop:
CO opens, The Dude 3-bets on the button w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB calls, BB calls, CO calls.

Flop: (12 SBs) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue"> (4 Players)</font>
SB donks, BB folds, CO calls, The Dude raises. SB calls, CO calls.

Turn: (9 BBs) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="blue"> (3 Players)</font>
SB checks, CO checks, The Dude bets. SB calls, CO calls. The Dude's plan is to check behind on the river.

River: (12 BBs) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="blue"> (3 Players)</font>
SB checks, CO checks, The Dude bets.

standard I'd say. Mind you if the sb and bb are going to call that frequently, I dunno that the 3bet preflop is worth doing. but the rest is standard.

The whole hand looks incredibly incredibly standard to me.

Obviously, the only debateable street is the turn.(preflop is a no-brainer to me) I think there's an argument for checking the turn because your kicker isn't playing and SBs range should be pretty strong at this point given your read. We are likely behind but the strength of out nut flush draw, coupled with the fact that the hand is 3-handed mitigates any mistake we're making somewhat. I do think that SB likely has 2 pair or even TT in a large chunk of his range. If I was playing, I bet the turn without thinking, but some analysis leads me to believe that checking the turn might be superior.

That said, I think this a turn check HU against SB.

The presence of enough chop outs vs SB's donking range + so many pair+gutshots in the hand of CO means that 3-ways you have to bet there. The pot's just too big not to. Head's up, I'd agree, you can go ahead and check.

Yeah, I'm still betting this. I just think that it's somewhat close and most people won't think of it when they first see the hand.

A seperate question then is whether AQ/AJ/A9/KQ/KJ out weighs AK/AT/TT/A8 on the river. I think it does because we need to discount the latter hands because SB will donk those on the non-flush river alot. That said, I fold this river to a raise from either player.

not that it happens often, but what are you doing if raised on the river? depends on the action and who does it i imagine.

besides that, it's exactly how i would have played it.

I guess I don't know what quasi tag quasi lag means, since everyone agrees that 3betting preflop with A4s is completely standard. What's the opening range of a QTQL?

I'm probably opening a little tighter than this, but given the read, and the fact that we have the button, I don't think it's really worth debating over. I think Stox recommends A5s/A7o+ in this spot, so if this is a mistake, it can't be too big of one.

The Dude, i see a bet as a must? A hand that beats you would have put in a lot of action on the turn to scare off draws? i dont get it.
