Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
[ QUOTE ]
Serious post time: Anyone who thinks that nlnut isn't using bots is either stupid, ignorant, or doesn't understand poker very well. It's obvious he's using a bot...or his team is using bots. Now, while I concede there may not be enough evidence to warrant seizure of funds, it certianly seems that at least closing their accounts and mailing them a check for the funds is at LEAST the very minimum that should be done. How can someone seriously argue that those post flop stats are "based off of a secret strategy"...give me a break. Either Full Tilt doesn't care and just wants the rake money, or their fraud team is headed by a bunch of morons. (I highly doubt they'd risk everything by allowing bots, so I'm assuming that their security team is just retarded) Step it up guys, this level of incompetence is highly unacceptable. [/ QUOTE ] Use this as a wake up call, FTP. If you don't step it up, the day is coming when multiple bots will sit at tables and collude together at your site. Then it will be too late to do something and the damage will be done. It's one thing to play against a stand alone bot at a table. It's another when there are multiple colluding bots at that table... |

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
This is just the start of things to come.
The integrity of online poker has always been questionable and with the continued demise of the fish, this things are now coming to surface more often. Im glad people are now doing some things against these online sites to make them ensure the integrity is kept up. Honestly we all know that there is a long ways to go before online poker will be completely safe from these :bot: By the way awesome responce by FTP, really makes you feel great to be a customer there doesnt it. |

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
I can honestly say I will never play at FT again unless the fitting punishment is dished out for this incredibly clear cut case.

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
As a newbee to the pokerworld (playing only for 8 weeks, currently NL10 with 14k Hands/month), it doesn't really matter that much if those are bot-farms or "only" bot-like farms with a dozen or more people acting as a team with semi-automated responses.
The result is the same: It is bit of a turnoff. And will be for other "fish"/newbees as well, if word gets out on a larger level. |

My guess is the only way they 100% nail bots is no chat history / response to chat [/ QUOTE ] My keyboard is nowhere near me when I'm playing. I've gone days without chatting as I really couldnt care less about speaking with the other players. |

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
[ QUOTE ]
This as about as clear as it gets to finding (even though an outsider found him) and catching a bot or humans using automated software. If you (FTP) can't find a bot here, i seriously doubt your ability to EVER find a bot on your own. [/ QUOTE ] Worryingly true. [ QUOTE ] I agree with everyone who is saying FTP should give them their money and show them the door. Casinos ban card counters all the time. The card counters aren't doing anything illegal, but its the casino's "house" and they get to choose who is welcome and who is not. [/ QUOTE ] Card counters are winning the house's own money. Bots are paying rake to the house while they win players' money. |

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
Without having read this thread, did everybody consider the possibility that FT might have reopened the accounts with the intention to further analyze/datamine the accounts so they could obtain necessary evidence to bust the bots? Furthermore, we might have ruined that plan?

Re: Official Full Tilt Poker Response to Bot Thread
[ QUOTE ]
FT will never give an answer to those questions because by doing so (in a way we find acceptable) it would admit mistakes on their side. True story: I know some people that owned a (quite) popular poker site for a few years. Once (that I know of) the site was hacked and many players lost a few dollars each (like 10/20 each). The site knew perfectly well it had been robbed but never admitted nor refunded the stolen money. To them it was more important to say "Your money is 100% safe with us" than being honest and admitting the security breach. It even sent out false account statements to the concerned players. The only thing that was important was not sending out the message that they were not a safe place. PS. please don't ask the name of the site, I won't tell. [/ QUOTE ] The recently closed Planet Poker? |
