SirWatts, Duck, stevepa and I all played drunken 2/4 holdem and 5/10 Horse after we busted out of the 5k. The 2/4 game was hilarious. We sit down with a bunch of old people who are having a nice friendly game of holdem. They are all gone within the first orbit. The last hold out berated Duck for not knowing how to play before he left, that was fun to witness. Old people don't like free monies.

The trouble started when we get to the 5/10 Horse game. We have the now standard starting with a 9 up prop bet going in Stud8. If you scoop starting with the 9 up, we all have to ship 100$. Steve runs so good and somehow scoops with his first hand he plays with a 9. When we try to pay him, we find out you aren't allowed to pay that at the table. We repeatedly try to pay him anyway and the floor starts getting a little irritated. Later in O8, Mike looks at my hand after he folds. The floor calls him away from the table and cuts him off from alcohol. Duck is the next to get cut off, I'm not sure what the reason was for that, but she put up a good fight for about 10 minutes. Shortly after getting cut off, we head out to Cedars with FatalError who buys us all a nice dinner. We run good at credit card roulette. I ended up winning about 300 between 2/4 holdem and 5/10 Horse. I run really well right now in the drunken games.

I played in a 5/10 HORSE game last Friday when some crazy 2+2ers showed up and everything when batsh** crazy like you're describing. Pretty disheartening when you can't win against opponenets who aren't looking at their cards.

Typical of about 20 hands that night was when one of them had the player to his left look at his cards and tell him what to do after I three bet the flop with middle pair. All's he wanted to know is, "do I have a backdoor flushdraw?" He did according to his neighbor, so he called me down. Neighbor didn't mention he also had the same middle pair, and me &%#$ing kickered. Then the guy expertly and dramatically slowrolled me after his neighbor said he didn't win, despite not even knowing what his cards were.

As I left, I grabbed a CardPlayer. Was quite shocked when I see an article about the maniac from my table-- Shaun Deeb. It was an awesome time even though I lost like 40BBs, and I've been lurking here to try to learn the secrets of Wafflecrushing ever since. I started playing 180's after reading Shaun's strategy post for them. I've won back a little over half of what I lost that night, so I'm on my way to it being a good investment. But I'm gonna be psychologically scarred forever by a couple of the hands, and my wife still isn't speaking to me after keeping her at the casino all night so I could lose to "that guy who's playing every hand."

That was me playing with Deeb. I owned him so bad on the 500$ 9 up prop bet that night in stud 8. I forget all the action, but I start with 4K(9) 2 hearts and catch all hearts to make a flush. Deeb folded third cause he doesn't think I can scoop. My two opponents boards are 2536 and A38J but 2356 folds for one bet on 7th in a huge pot and A38J calls with Aces up, ship it.
