November 5th here in a few days, where they'll be a ton of fireworks and bonfires, many of which will have an effigy of Guy Fawkes on top of it.
1605 it was, and we've never really forgiven the papacy for supporting the plot to overthrow the English parliament. Ya don't mess with the English and get off easy. |

i'm pretty psyched about november. i'm going back to school for the first time since graduation (which has been all of 6 months, but whatever). my friends have congregated in nyc on a few occasions, but i haven't been able to go. it will be good to see them.

I'm going to drink so much Pinot Noir that I may end up getting sick of it. My work is having a pinot tasting on friday, I'll be going to Pinot Days(first time they are hosting it in chicago. Here is a link to what's gonna be there), and then my tasting group is having a blind california pinot tasting at the end of the month. The only downside to it all, is that it's going to be almost 75-80% cali pinot that I'll be having instead of oregon and burgundy. I'm gonna make up for that with drinking a whole bunch of burgs on my own [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] |

We're one of the bigger chain wine&spirits stores in the midwest and our store is one of the bigger ones in chicago(well, all of our stores are based around chicago). I'm hoping that working here while I finally finish up college can hopefully have me end up working for a distributor in the midwest |
