Re: internet gambling bill to be protested in d.c. on monday
A weak effort is much worse than no effort at all - this makes no sense

Re: internet gambling bill to be protested in d.c. on monday
After all of our debating and analyzing of this bill, do we really want it sent back to congress? The way it is written and how most are interpreting it, it sounds like Neteller and Firepay will still allow us to play on most sites. (Except Party, 888) If it goes back to congress, and they realize how poorly written it is, couldn't they include wording that could truely stop online play?

The protesters might as well stay home and urinate into the wind. The effect will be the same.

Too bad the average online poker player won't be able to make the 2 block march from the Washington Monument to the whitehouse without a snack break.
This is going to be really sad. |

Except that I don't think it's EXACTLY the same because staying home and urinating doesn't run the risk of looking really stupid. I don't know what the best way of combatting this legislation is. but I'm pretty sure that, "Hey, lets all meet in Washington and let them know we're upset" is not it. |
