Default 22\" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution ?

Hi,

I would like to buy a new monitor. I was goin to buy the 204b from Samsung because he provides the 1600x1200 native resolution. Now I heard that 22" monitors can run with 1920x1200 resolution. Thats over the specification, but if thats true, I would go for a 22" instead of the 20" Samsung.

Can someone confirm that 22" Tft`s can run with 1920x1200 resolution ?

A quick look of the dell website on monitors didnt have any that could pull that resolution. May be some out there that can, but they would be expensive enough I would be to warrant just getting a 24inch.

So if I play a maximum of 6 tables getting a 22" with 1680 X 1050 would be sufficient?

I have searched other threads for Monitor advice and am still a little confused.

Like for this price would this suffice?

Samsung SyncMaster 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor

The 1920 X 1200 resolution is on alot of WS monitors from what i have seen but you definetly pay a premium for the option.

i think some 24" monitors can do 19x12 also

6 tables on 1680x1050 would require either overlap or resizing

Most 22" TFT´s have a native resolution of 1680x1050. But some models can interpolate a resolution of 1920x1200. The image quality becomes blurred, but it should be okay to play poker. My current 17" display has a native resolution of 1280x1024, but it can interpolate up to 1600x1024.

So, any 22" tft owners out there who can switch to 1920x1200 resolution ?

Your head will assplode if you play long sessions with a fuzzy up-rezzed monitor. Spend the money and get one that can do it natively.
