Default please move to microlimit ?

Find myself asking a question that may be noobish, but my recent return to short handed has me questioning some strategy. the question is:

I have a 25/20 type player in the cutoff of a 6max online game. When all fold to him in the cutoff and he raises, what's the lowest range of hands I 3ball ? Let's assume that the blinds are tight enough to fold garbage and the play is designed to isolate against him.

His range is 22-AA, any broadway of any kind, most aces, probably suited connectors as low as 56s and one gappers as low as 97s.

I'm not really good enough with the mathematical distributions to figure out what weaker hands I 3bet here. Someone want to take a shot ? Is it mostly determined by who the better player is post flop ?

lol is it so noob that nobody is going to answer ? Ok more specific.

Is it incorrect to 3bet:

JTo
A4-A8
K8s (or worse kickers)
T9s
K9

as the hands improve from those I tend to have no issue 3betting succesfully. Just wondering what people rank with raise > fold > call etc...

Are you in SB or OTB?

Either way, I usually wouldn't 3bet any of these unless his ATSB was really high. Maybe A8 OTB.

A better question would be.. what equity % do we need against his specific range to profitably three bet, assuming he plays normally postflop?

It's easiest, IMO, if you look at his ASB. Plug that number into PokerStove and see how your proposed hands do against that range. Assuming you have equal postflop skills, combined with position, anything you have a slight equity edge is a valid candidate for 3 balling. I'd prefer a small edge at least......eventhough you have position, I'd like a little cushion to mitigate a little variance as well as take into consideration the blinds will wake up occasionally.

Against somebody with a 40 ASB in the CO, I will 3 ball KJo for example, but not KTo.

ok one of the questions I had that would stem for this. If we're not raising something like K9s or A2s, are we...calling ? or is it closer to a fold ?

I think 2p2 dogma is usually to raise or fold in this situation.
