Default 33$ - Party regular tourney - TT first hand

Hi, what do you think about this?

Normally I play sngs and there you could make a point for folding on the flop, but in a mtt with usual topheavy structure I have to lag-it-up a bit, right?

How is the raise size?
I thought it would look pretty sucky to him, and leaving me some chips behind if he pushes over.
How is pf betsize?
Does anyone limp behind there for sole setvalue?

PF looks standard...3x + n(limpers) bb. Maybe t200 would control the pot size better.

Flop - I think if you're gonna bet odd, bet t777 to represent a set.

Edited to add - I hate the fact your plan is to laydown if he pushes after you invested 1/3 your stack.

[/ QUOTE ] I'd prefer playing this for set value with your position.

This statement simply is not true, there are a lot of bad players who limp/call with Ace rag at these early levels.

Preflop I think I play it for set value, if not your raise size was good.

this flop is pretty horrible and to be honest I probably just fold, even though this may be really nitty .He is not laying down a weak ace to a raise of that size, nor any K or Q of diamonds. If i am staying in this pot it is a flat call with a view to bet any checked turn.

The problem here is just that you are either up against an ace, diamond(s) or trash and have absolutely no idea where you are. This is why certainly in the first few hands i will play this for set value, especially after multiple limpers and fold this flop rather than try bluff a guy off AT who thinks it's the nuts.

preflop i would limp behind. i mean you HOPE you can thin the field down but in all honesty this usually snowballs and you're 4 to a flop with an over card and you're lost. not only that but they are in EP so they probably have stronger hands than an open limp from MP.

flop i would just fold. this flop sucks. move on.
