MVP's don't travel with the game on the line. Kobe blew that one.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right, no MVP has ever missed a shot or turned the ball over at the end of a regular season game.

I can't wait until Dirk travels with the game on the line. Just because you're such a spastic Dirk homer. I will link back to your post.

If Dirk travels with the game on the line, you can go ahead and give his MVP to Nash. I guarantee that he won't.

MVP's don't play for the 6th seeded team in their conference.

It's Kobe's fault that his team is the 6th seed obviously.

FWIW, if this was a thread seriously arguing who the MVP should be, I wouldn't bother referencing this game. This was just a quick jab at some Laker fans due to how amusing the end-of-game turnover was.

I actually think Kobe Bryant's a tremendous player who's somewhat underrated due to the stereotypes that surround him, and if I were voting for the MVP this season, I'd put him second behind Dirk. If I was voting for the MVP last season, I would have put Kobe first and Dirk second since Dirk wasn't getting his teammates involved as well last year as he is this season.

I agree with your thoughts on Kobe as player. I think he is very good and probably the best player in the league it just sucks he doesn't have much around him. That being said voting for MVP I still vote for Nash over Dirk just because Nash is the spark to that team and he has definetely made good players a lot better. Dirk definetely has a more talented team but I guess I vote Nash too because its harder to find an all around great point/shoot guard then it is to find a good forward/center.
Now by the standard Most Valuable Player of a team there is no doubt Kobe should win every year because you take him away and the Lakers are an expansion team.
