Re: Middle pairs vs. tight players.
I would never advocate just calling down from the flop.

Re: Middle pairs vs. tight players.
[ QUOTE ]
Raise flop, bet turn, check river. Is the line I like most. [/ QUOTE ] I don't understand this urge to raise flops. You'll get 3-bet and donked or checkraised on turn often. |

Re: Middle pairs vs. tight players.
[ QUOTE ]
This is so player dependent and dynamics dependent. Against a dumb straight forward "I have read Stox book, but I still suck at hand reading" TAG I will mostly call flop and turn and fold river if he bets. [/ QUOTE ] Oink, are you implying this is where a better TAG would check to you with AA, AK or whatever on the river to induce you to value bet your mid-pair - because now you might believe he has AQ - so he gets an extra bet off you? |

[/ QUOTE ] I am implying that most predictable TAGs will never valuebet a worse hand here. A good TAG who knows me will know that I often have a low pocket pair or a good Ax when I peel flop and turn. Given this he might realize that if he bets a medium Ax he can often get a fold if he bets. |
