Broken, The Downward Spiral and The Fragile in that order.

I am listening to this now and it sounds so much better then White Teeth. I might re-think my stance that Trent Reznor is washed up.

It's 'With Teeth' I don't grasp why so many people think it is 'White Teeth'.. And I'm sort of curious as to what you meant by re-think that Reznor is washed up?

Anyway, I'm really enjoying 'Year Zero.' Capital G and The Great Destroyer are my current favorites, but I don't dislike any of the tracks.

Because With Teeth was a very poor uninspired album imo, regardless of the correct name.

Edit: I am listening to it for a second time and Reznor defiantly sounds more motivated and inspired. I guess that is what Dubya does to some people. I never got that vibe from the previous album.

oh, and I caved and listened to the album on myspace (damn my restraint sucks), and I really like it, and like every NIN album I think its only going to get better with further listenings (which im now trying hard not to do until tuesday, heh)

Wonderful review, snowball. I have a few NIN albums but haven't listened to them in years, and your review made me want to give this one a try. Reznor's very talented and I'm glad you reminded me to keep watching him.

Btw, I hadn't known you could write this well. Nice job communicating the themes and feelings. It seems like doing that with songs, especially songs like these, might be a tough job that doesn't provide an easy "in" for the writer. Nicely done.

Fair enough, to each their own. I enjoyed about half of the tracks on the album, and 'Right Where it Belongs' might possibly be my favorite track ever recorded by Reznor. During the concert tour they dropped projector screens down, surrounding the stage and had some amazing footage playing while the song was going on.

I also think that when Trent Reznor, of all people, is attempting to be a moral compass for the human race we've somehow really f'ed up. This is a man who's associated with Closer and Head Like a Hole by the vast majority of casual music fans.
