Re: NL25: AQo
I hate AQo. The deal here is, when you get reraises on the flop it's all or nothing. Lets just pretend that the turn was a 8h and he lead bets 11.5 into you on the turn somewhere in your mind you might just hope he's doing that with AJ? My bet is that he called you and was set mining, popped it off, and without top kicker here you kinda S-O-L. So, on the flop, i think i would have probably checked it and gone for the reraise. The way your played it i think you gotta fold to the min bet, but if you have any sort of ready than you could turn that into a push.

Re: NL25: AQo
AQos sucks, and sucks in this spot even worse. Think OP played it fine, though one could argue that you could have saved those 3.5 bucks when he minraised you. Much more often than not you know you're dead there. On the other hand: I hate (and only very rarely do it) folding to minbets, don't want villains to think they can get me out of hand by minraising me...

Re: NL25: AQo
OP looks ok to me.
You only beat a hand like AT now that AJ just made two pair on the turn, and bluff made with some underpair, air, or a gutshot straight draw. All those hands seem less likely given that you raised preflop, he called, and then he min-raised the flop and donk bet the turn on a very dry flop that had an ace on it. It seems more like he has a set, two pair, or a straight, and he reads you for Ax so he's taking a line to get as much value as he can from you. I think your line in the OP is fine. A read on villain would be nice beyond the stats, but that's not always available. Without more than the stats, I like you line. |
