Actually, that part's not true. It's only the block of rooms at the special poker rate, that are fully booked.

[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry I wasn't clear, but that's what I meant. I thought the implication was obvious. Regular room rates are $269+ on the weekends, IIRC.

So do you register the day of the tournament? If so, how early should we get there? Didn't see any info on the PDF. Thanks.

[/ QUOTE ]
Don't see an answer to this, but inquiring minds want to know. The website mentions registration starting 7am the day before. Does this mean registration runs 7am the day before to 12noon the day of for each event?

[/ QUOTE ]

Found my answer when calling for reservations. Registration is the day before each event from 7am to 10pm. Also, the rooms are fully booked for the Labor Day weekend nights.

If you don't mind paying up to 500 bucks a night (might be less, if you have a harrahs players club you've used recently), there are still rooms open.

lol to anyone that has to pay any kind of rate. The Beau is flying me down on the 30th and my room is free through Sunday when I'll fly back to Atlanta. Yeah, I'm the guy that wins money in the poker room and then goes off for 10 times that at blackjack. See ya there!

Well, that was easy. I was trying to decide, but now my decision is obvious. Same dates, more events spread. I'm going to the Grand Tunica! The WSOP Circuit August 29th to September 13th!

Yeah, but I booked the room using my Harrahs player card, so I got it for about 600 bucks.

Sometimes using the Harrahs card, helps you out, that's for sure. Sometimes I even get my room for free that way.

Harahs players card will not help you. The casino is owned by MGM..

Just a heads up for those of you planning to go to the Beau. Upon arrival, make sure you get a players card. They will be required for tournament registration. Also, if you plan on using internet service, bring an ethernet cable with you.

What's your point? I obviously already know the dates. I said so in my post.

lol, you might want to check exactly where you booked a room at because Harrah's has nothing to do with the Beau.

This is what Donna said when I booked too but the 'system' was down so she couldn't check my name or apply for a card for me. I have a card from the MGM Grand Poker Room in LV...is that the same card? Wasn't sure if the 'poker room' card was separate/different than a regular player's card.
