Re: 500/1k river spot
[ QUOTE ]
durr has AT most likely or AK/AQ/AJ which is less likely in my opinion. Shove is the best move here i think because he can't make a call with those hands on that board. [/ QUOTE ] Come on - durr puts AT in here on the turn |

Re: 500/1k river spot
I think the turn is the problem.
Vos bets the flop then checks the turn. Durr should read this as weakness. You call the flop on a draw-heavy board and then check the turn. Again, Durr will view this as a drawing or weak made hand. Therefore, he should be capable of betting the turn for value with a hand as weak as Tx and also bet the turn as a semi-bluff because there is a chance both of you fold and he would have decent equity if he gets called. So, I think CR-cap on the turn is the optimal play. By choosing your line where you value bet the turn, you give Durr (and Vos) a chance to play you optimally on the turn/river. By betting $7500 on the turn you are committing your remaining $27k stack if he hits while only gaining $7500 if he misses. If his equity is in the 20% range you aren't gaining much value in the turn bet, maybe $2500 in the long run. So, checking costs you roughly $2500 but you gain around $14k every time he bets and calls your turn CRAI. If he bet/calls the turn as little 20% of the time I'd say you make more money. |

Re: 500/1k river spot
I don't play this high, but here is my 2 cents
On the river, I think your chips are going in. If he had a higher 2 pair, I think he would make it raise on the turn. I think you are either c/c an all-in raise hoping he missed with something like QJs, or you are shoving and he may call you with an A. maybe he will call with something like JT if he puts you on a bluff. I have to say that a higher two pair seems pretty unlikely given his call on the turn with Vos behind him. |

Re: results
[ QUOTE ]
Really not sure, probably not enough that I beat to make it good, and after thinking about it I'd probably just check/fold. But of course whenever we get confused, pushhhhhhh. [/ QUOTE ] What brought you to this conclusion rather than to c/c? |
