Default PS $.5/1 Pocket AA -- Is this river raise good?

When playing this hand, I wavered after the flop. I know I should have raised the turn. I put my opponent on a big king, but I got scared of KK or a random trey. Then, on the river, I thought I'm ahead often enough for the raise to be a profitable move. Was it?

Well unless you have a read of him going absolutely insane with AK, you're not beating much that 3 bets you that river.

Sounds like you don't have a read on the Villain. He could very well have KK since he capped, but he could also be over playing something.

Good cap on the flop, you had a BDFD. Turn is not so nice. Just call it down from the turn.

You didn't post a read or stats, so I'm assuming you don't know how this guy plays. If you think you are WA, why slow down on the turn. What is is about the river that makes you think your hand is good? Villian has never slowed down since the LRR PF. At these stakes this kind of aggression is reserved for spastic retard lags, and normal players absolute monsters. You don't know what category villian is in, so call the river, get a read, move on.

It took me forever to figure out situations where raising and folding to a 3 bet was correct. It isn't something that comes up all the time, but this is one of them, if you choose to raise this river.

You really think a Villan is going to limp-cap preflop with any hand containing a 3?

Once he donkbets the turn after your flop cap, call down. His possible holdings, imo, are AA (1 combo), KK (3 combos) and AK (6 combos), so it's about 7:3 that you're ahead or tied. Call down and get a read. Definitely don't call the turn then raise the river unless you can fold to the 3-bet...I don't think even do it then.
