Default Blind battle w Q9s

Villain is a tough TAG. His stats are 19/13/2. He is basically unbluffable and aggro when he needs to be.

I'm not sure I make it past the turn c/r after you 3'd the flop. No way I'm calling this river. And why did you try and bluff the unbluffable on the flop?

What is tough TAG doing limping in from SB? Call the flop check-raise. Call the turn. Call or fold the river. I don't think it matters much until you say something else about villain.

frito bandito,

yeah, i don't like this hand. in position, there's no reason to 3bet the flop. just call and see what happens on the turn.

as played, buzz is right: fold to that c/r.

babar,

checking behind the blank-ass turn after 3betting the flop is dumb. it's like, here, i take you and your draw to value town, but only on the cheap street. once we get to the expensive street, here, HAVE A FREE CARD.

all,

anyone raise preflop for value, especially since we have position?

I wouldn't mind trying to steal with this, although sometimes these tighties go bat crap insane on steal attempts. I really hate that.

I would opt to raise preflop here.

I like flop play.

Do you think TAG is good enough to semibluff check/raise that turn with lone diamond? or do you think he's got a big overpair there?

You should bet/fold if that turn check/raise is never a semibluff.

I would call the river, hoping for pure bluff/spew, or a weaker 7/9.

I might be a little concerned when a guy with those stats open completes in the SB then check raises the flop

I really don't get the flop 3bet at all ... nor the turn call after you get check raised

on the river ... bluff raise
